Chobo Pocket Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-09-24 · Provider: KUANG LIAN CO., LTD. · Contact: [email protected]

  1. Service: Chobo Pocket provides bookkeeping, statistics, budgets, forecasts, reminders, a sticker diary, group sharing and expense reports for individuals, families, teams and companies. It does not provide investment, financial or tax advice. Forecasts, weekly insights and answers from "Ask your ledger" are generated by software and language models, are for reference only and may be wrong — please check them yourself.

  2. Age: you must be at least 13 (16 in the EEA and other places where the law sets a higher age) to use the service; minors need the consent of a parent or guardian.

  3. Accounts and sync password: most features need no account. If you sign in, keep your sign-in methods and devices secure. Cloud sync is end-to-end encrypted, so if you forget your sync password we cannot recover your cloud data.

  4. Subscriptions: Pro, Family and Company plans are billed through the App Store or Google Play and renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Cancellations and refunds follow the store's rules; prices are those shown by the store. Free trials of yearly plans convert to paid plans automatically. Company plans include the purchased number of seats (10, 30 or 100). When a group owner's plan expires, the group's ledgers become read-only and are kept for 180 days.

  5. One-time purchases: sticker packs, color themes, app icons, diary paper, decoration packs and bundles are non-consumable items that can be restored with "Restore purchases" under the same store account. If the store refunds a purchase, the corresponding unlock is removed.

  6. Points: points are earned for free — for bookkeeping, streaks and watching rewarded ads — and can only be redeemed in the app for stickers and appearance items. Points have no monetary value, cannot be bought, exchanged for cash or goods, or transferred. Points are stored only on your phone and are lost if you delete the app or its data without a backup. We may adjust how many points are earned or needed; items already redeemed are not affected.

  7. Rewarded ads: watching ads is optional. Whether an ad is available depends on advertisers, so we don't guarantee one is always available; closing an ad early earns no points. Don't obtain points by automation or other abnormal means.

  8. Groups: - Group owners and admins are responsible for inviting and removing members and setting visibility; make sure people agree before you invite them. - Other members can see what you share with a group according to their permissions; after you stop sharing or leave, we cannot erase what they have already seen. - Company groups: work ledgers belong to the company. A company that creates a company group must inform its employees, as required by its local employment and data-protection laws, of what the company can see. Employees' personal ledgers do not belong to the company and the service provides no way for the company to see them. Approving an expense report is not our determination of any expense, tax or accounting treatment.

  9. Fair use: paid features such as smart parsing and receipt scanning have fair-use limits to prevent abuse and keep the service reliable.

  10. Your conduct: don't abuse the API with automation, disrupt the service, try to access other people's data, or upload illegal or infringing content (including diary and receipt photos). We may restrict or end access for violations.

  11. Third parties: sign-in, payments, ads, push notifications and chat bookkeeping depend on Apple, Google, LINE, Meta, Kakao and other third parties whose outages or changes may affect features. If you downloaded the app from the App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies; Apple is not responsible for maintaining or supporting the service.

  12. Your data: you own your data and can export or delete it anytime; data in a company work ledger belongs to that company. How to delete your account and what happens is described in section 11 of the Privacy Policy and at https://kuangli.tw/chobo-pocket/delete-account/en/.

  13. Liability: to the extent permitted by law the service is provided as is, and we are not liable for indirect damages or data loss (including local data without a backup and cloud data after a lost sync password).

  14. Termination: you may stop using the service and delete your account anytime. We may discontinue some or all features after prior notice; paid subscriptions are handled according to the store's rules.

  15. Governing law: laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan); Taipei District Court as the court of first instance, subject to mandatory consumer-protection rules where you live.

  16. Changes: material changes will be announced in the app; continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
